Description
Netgear FA310TX REV-D2 10/100 PCI Network Card Bay Networks RJ-45
The Netgear FA310TX is a Fast Ethernet PCI network interface card (NIC) designed for desktop PCs and workstations. It supports both 10Base-T and 100Base-TX connections over a standard RJ-45 port and installs into any available PCI slot. This example is Revision D2 (REV-D2), as silkscreened on the PCB, and was produced during Netgear's Bay Networks era.

Applications
The Netgear FA310TX was a mainstream desktop Fast Ethernet NIC from the late 1990s and early 2000s, produced during Netgear's time as part of Bay Networks. Cards like this were used to add or replace Ethernet connectivity in PCI-slot desktop PCs running Windows 95/98/ME/2000/XP, as well as early Linux systems. At the time, Fast Ethernet (100Base-TX) was the standard for office and home networking, replacing the older 10Base-T-only cards. Today, these PCI NICs remain in use for maintaining legacy Windows and Linux machines that lack onboard Ethernet or have a failed integrated port. They are also sought by vintage PC enthusiasts restoring period-correct systems from the late 1990s and early 2000s.
This Netgear FA310TX REV-D2 10/100 PCI Network Card has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. The card was pulled from a working PC environment where it had previously been in service. It has not been bench-tested at our facility. The PCB shows no obvious physical damage; the RJ-45 port and bracket are intact, and typical light handling wear is present on the board.
