Applications
The NEC Dterm Series II is a family of digital and analog business telephones designed for NEC's NEAX and Electra Elite PBX and KSU telephone systems, which were widely deployed in small and mid-sized offices, hotels, and enterprise branch sites through the 1990s and 2000s. The NEAX 2400 in particular was one of NEC's flagship enterprise PBX platforms of that era, supporting large multi-line installations across a range of industries. The single-line ETE12 SL S2 variant serves stations that require basic voice functionality — call answering, DTMF dialing, on-hook monitoring, and feature access via the Flash key — without the added lines or programmable buttons of the larger Dterm multi-line sets. These phones remain in demand as direct replacement handsets for existing NEAX N2400 installations still in service, as well as for legacy office environments maintaining NEC PBX infrastructure.
This NEC Dterm Series II 560110 (ETE12 SL S2) single-line office telephone is new and unused — new old-stock manufactured September 2002. It comes in its original Qwest-labeled box, which has been opened. The phone is in a protective plastic bag and shows no use wear. All contents appear to be present: telephone base, handset, coiled handset cord, line cord, and documentation. The box itself has normal storage wear consistent with older warehouse stock.
