The Mitutoyo ID-C112TB is an Absolute IDS (Intelligent Data System) Digimatic digital indicator from Mitutoyo's Series 543 line. Unlike conventional digital indicators that lose their position reference when switched off, the Absolute measurement system retains the origin reference at all times — the display reads the true position immediately on power-up without requiring a re-zero. The unit reads in both inch and metric, selectable via a front-panel switch.

Applications
Mitutoyo Digimatic indicators are standard precision measurement tools used in machine shops, quality control departments, and metrology labs. The ID-C112TB is designed for surface plate work, fixture checking, part runout and flatness measurement, and inspection setups on manual or CNC machining centers. The Absolute system makes it particularly well-suited for repetitive inspection tasks where re-zeroing between measurements would slow the process. This Mitutoyo ID-C112TB Absolute Digimatic Indicator (Code 543-253B) has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. The housing shows light handling wear consistent with previous shop use, but the display face, controls, and contact stem are clean and intact. An SR44 battery is installed.
