The DP-3DX dates from the late 1980s to early 1990s era of shop-floor SPC adoption, when Mitutoyo's Digimatic line became a standard in precision manufacturing and inspection departments. It was widely used in machine shops, aerospace, automotive, and electronics manufacturing quality labs. The integrated thermal printer allows immediate hard-copy output of measurement results and SPC reports without a separate computer.
