Applications
The Mita LDC-650 is a mid-1990s plain-paper laser fax machine from the generation when laser-output fax transceivers were replacing older thermal-paper fax units in business offices. Plain-paper fax machines like this one produce permanent, full-size output on standard cut-sheet paper and include a telephone handset for voice calls on the same line. Mita Industrial Co. was a well-regarded Japanese office-equipment manufacturer of this era, producing copiers and fax machines sold globally. Units like this are of interest today to collectors of vintage office equipment and to operators of legacy office environments that still rely on fax lines. A replacement paper cassette compatible with the LDC-650 would be required to return this unit to full fax and copy service.
This Mita LDC-650 Facsimile Transceiver has been inspected and is in good used condition overall, with the notable exception that the paper cassette/tray is missing — the LCD display confirms this with a PAPER CASSETTE EMPTY message. The machine body shows normal age-related yellowing and light surface wear consistent with a 1994-era office appliance. The handset with coiled cord is included and appears intact. The unit has not been powered up or tested at our facility, but was pulled from a working environment where it was previously in use.
