The Micro Switch MPC6 is a retroreflective infrared photoelectric photo head manufactured by Micro Switch, a Honeywell Division. It combines the transmitter and receiver in a single compact housing, projecting an invisible infrared beam that reflects off a standard vehicle or panel reflector back to the sensor. When an object interrupts the beam, the internal relay switches state. The MPW11 power module, integrated into the teal lower housing, provides 120 VAC power conditioning and relay output wiring.

Applications

Micro Switch was a well-known Honeywell brand producing industrial sensing and switching products from the mid-20th century onward; the MPC6 series dates from the 1980s–1990s era of relay-output photoelectric sensing, when discrete relay outputs were the standard interface before NPN/PNP transistor outputs became dominant.
