The MGE Pulsar ESV11+ Rack is a 1080VA/700W rackmount uninterruptible power supply chassis designed to provide battery backup and power conditioning for servers, networking equipment, and other critical rack-mounted hardware. This listing is for the UPS chassis only — the battery tray is empty and no batteries are included. Battery cables are present inside the chassis. The unit requires three 12V 7.2Ah sealed lead-acid batteries connected in series (36VDC total) to operate; battery photos in the listing are for reference only.

Applications

The MGE Pulsar ESV11+ Rack was designed for small-to-medium server rooms and network closets where rackmount form factor and clean power delivery are required. MGE UPS Systems (later acquired by Schneider Electric and merged into the APC/MGE product line) produced the Pulsar series through the late 1990s and early 2000s as a popular choice for IT and telecom rack environments. This unit provides battery backup to protect connected equipment from power outages, sags, and surges, and includes modem/phone line surge protection and a serial communication port for monitoring software integration. A chassis-only unit like this is useful for buyers who already have compatible 12V 7.2Ah batteries on hand, or who are sourcing a replacement chassis for an existing Pulsar ESV11+ Rack installation.

This MGE Pulsar ESV11+ Rack 1080VA/700W rackmount UPS chassis has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. It has not been powered up or tested at our facility, but was pulled from a working environment where it was previously in service. The battery tray is empty — no batteries are included. Battery cables are present and connected inside the chassis. The unit requires three 12V 7.2Ah sealed lead-acid batteries (connected in series for 36VDC total) to operate. Note that photos showing batteries are for reference only and do not represent batteries that will ship with this unit. The chassis shows typical wear consistent with prior rack installation.
