The Nortel Meridian M2008 is a digital set for the Nortel Meridian 1 (Option 11, 51C, 61C, 81C) and Nortel Business Communications Manager (BCM) PBX platforms — among the most widely deployed enterprise telephone systems in North America through the 1990s and 2000s. The M2008 Basic was the entry-level digital handset in the Meridian series, used at workstations and support desks where a display was not required. These sets are still sought for maintaining legacy Meridian 1 installations, replacing damaged handsets in active systems, and spares inventories at organizations still running Meridian infrastructure. Nortel (formerly Northern Telecom) produced the Meridian series from the early 1980s through the 2000s; the M2008 dates from the early 1990s and represents the first-generation Meridian digital set design.
This Nortel Meridian M2008 Basic Black business phone has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. It was pulled from a working office environment where it was previously in service. The phone shows normal wear for its age — the handset and coiled cord are included as shown in the photos. No cracks or major damage are visible.
