Applications

This subsystem was used in legacy data centers for archival and backup storage on Memorex Telex mainframe and midrange computer platforms. The dual transport configuration supported sequential tape operations for data backup, restore, and archival workflows common in enterprise environments through the 1980s and 1990s. Internally, both tape transport mechanisms are present and appear intact, the controller board assemblies are installed, and the power section components are in place.
