The Lumenis Novus Varia is a multicolor photocoagulation laser system designed for ophthalmic retinal procedures. The Novus Varia platform provides multiple selectable wavelengths — including 532nm, 561nm, and 659nm — delivered via fiber optic slit lamp adapters, allowing the treating physician to target different retinal tissue chromophores during photocoagulation procedures. The unit was acquired from an ophthalmic training school that closed during the COVID-19 pandemic. It does power on when the key switch is bypassed; however, no key is included with the unit and normal key-switch startup cannot be performed. The touchscreen display has been confirmed to be functional and is visible in our photos. During startup, the system displays fault codes F404 and F451 (visible in our photos), which indicate fiber optic delivery system faults — consistent with the absence of attached delivery accessories. No slit lamp delivery cables, foot pedal, or any other accessories are included. This unit is sold strictly as-is with no functionality guarantee.
