Lucent Pipeline P130-FT1-ASA Remote Access Router FT1 700288004

Lucent Pipeline P130-FT1-ASA Remote Access Router FT1 700288004

The Lucent Pipeline P130-FT1-ASA is a Fractional T1 (FT1) remote access router from Lucent Technologies' Pipeline series. Designed for small-to-medium business WAN connectivity, the Pipeline P130-FT1-ASA provides scalable bandwidth over Fractional T1 circuits, allowing organizations to purchase only the T1 bandwidth they need while retaining the option to scale up to full 1.544 Mbps T1 speeds. This unit is new in its original factory-sealed box.

Applications

The Lucent Pipeline series was a widely deployed family of remote access and WAN routers produced by Lucent Technologies during the late 1990s and early 2000s, a period when Fractional T1 and full T1 circuits were the dominant WAN connectivity option for business sites. Pipeline routers were used to connect branch offices, small businesses, and remote sites to corporate networks and the internet over leased-line T1 and FT1 connections. The FT1 variant allowed customers to activate only a portion of the 24 DS0 channels on a T1 circuit — typically in increments of 64 Kbps — making it a cost-effective option for sites that did not yet need full T1 bandwidth. These routers saw broad deployment in enterprises, ISPs, and telecom carrier networks across North America. New-in-box Pipeline units are increasingly sought by collectors of late-1990s networking hardware, legacy network administrators maintaining period-accurate infrastructure, and buyers needing spares for existing Pipeline-based installations.
