Applications
The Monroe 1330 is a vintage electronic printing calculator from the era when dedicated desktop calculators were standard fixtures in accounting, bookkeeping, banking, and general business offices. Monroe — a division of Litton Industries — was one of the leading names in business calculating equipment from the 1950s through the 1980s, competing with brands such as Olivetti, Victor, and Burroughs. Printing calculators like the 1330 produced a paper tape audit trail of all entries and results, which was essential for accounting work requiring a verifiable record. By the late 1970s and early 1980s, microcomputer-based accounting software began to displace dedicated printing calculators in most offices, making units like the Monroe 1330 a piece of business computing history. Today these machines are collected by vintage office equipment enthusiasts and historians of early electronic computing.
This Litton Monroe 1330 Electronic Printing Calculator has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. The cream/beige housing shows normal age-related wear consistent with vintage office equipment — light surface soiling and minor scuffing typical of a unit from this era. The numeric keypad and function keys appear intact and undamaged. The paper tape mechanism and top print area appear complete. Please note this unit has a round 4-pin proprietary power connector on the rear, visible in the photos — please confirm compatibility with any replacement power cord before purchasing. It has not been powered up or tested at our facility, but was pulled from a working environment where it was previously in use. Please review all photos and contact us with any questions.
