Applications
The SOGEVAC SV series is Leybold's line of single-stage oil-sealed rotary vane pumps, widely used as backing pumps and roughing pumps in scientific and industrial vacuum systems. The SV65 is sized for medium-throughput applications and is commonly found in semiconductor research and production environments, thin-film deposition systems (PVD/CVD), freeze drying, leak detection equipment, analytical instrumentation, and general laboratory vacuum lines. The integrated FC frequency converter drive allows the pump speed to be adjusted to match process demands and provides a soft start that reduces mechanical stress on startup — a feature particularly valued in continuous-duty lab and production settings. The SOGEVAC BI variant incorporates an internal oil mist separator, reducing oil carryover into the exhaust and minimizing the need for external filtration.
This Leybold SOGEVAC SV65 BI FC rotary vane vacuum pump has not been powered up or tested at our facility. It was pulled from a working laboratory where it was previously in active service. The pump shows normal cosmetic wear consistent with lab use — the gray housing is clean overall with minor scuffing, the motor and cooling fan assembly appear intact, and the oil sight glass and brass fittings are present. The Varmeca frequency converter drive, power cable, and DB9 connector are included as shown in the photos. Please review all photos carefully and contact us with any questions before purchasing.
