Description
Leader LBO-310A Single Channel Analog CRT Oscilloscope Benchtop 10Hz-100kHz
The Leader LBO-310A is a single-channel analog benchtop oscilloscope built around a direct-view cathode ray tube (CRT). It features a calibrated vertical amplifier with a ×1/×10/×100 attenuator, a continuously variable sweep generator covering 10 Hz to 100 kHz, and separate Vertical Gain and Sweep Variable/H Gain controls. The front panel also provides banana-jack inputs for both vertical (V IN) and horizontal (H IN) signals, with a maximum rated vertical input of 600V (P+DC). The rear panel carries Z-axis (intensity modulation), GND, and a switchable Vertical Direct/Normal Amp input.

Applications
The LBO-310A is a compact analog oscilloscope from the 1970s–early 1980s, a period when Leader Instruments of Japan produced a widely used line of affordable single-channel benchtop scopes for electronics education, service shops, and light lab work. Instruments like this were standard equipment for audio technician benches, radio/TV repair shops, electronics classrooms, and general-purpose signal tracing — anywhere a technician needed a compact, straightforward scope without the complexity of triggered dual-channel instruments. The LBO-310A's sweep range (10 Hz – 100 kHz) makes it well suited to audio-frequency work: testing amplifiers, filters, and audio circuits. Today these units are sought after for vintage electronics restoration, hobbyist bench use, classroom demonstrations, and parts/repair projects. This particular unit powers on and operates, but the CRT has weak intensity and a burnt center phosphor, so its value lies primarily in repair, study, or display use.
This Leader LBO-310A Analog CRT Oscilloscope powers on and operates. The CRT display has two known issues: intensity is weak, and the center of the phosphor screen is burnt out. These are cosmetic and functional display limitations specific to the CRT tube — buyers should factor them in when evaluating this unit. The metal cabinet is in solid used condition with surface scuffs and wear consistent with lab use. The power cord is included. Please review our full photo set, which shows the front panel controls, rear connector panel, and the CRT screen clearly, and contact us with any questions.
