Applications
The Kodak Datashow 480 belongs to a category of LCD projection panels that were widely used in the late 1980s and early 1990s for business presentations and classroom instruction. Before digital projectors became affordable, these LCD pads were the standard way to project computer-generated slides and graphics to a room-sized audience — users placed the panel on an overhead projector already in the room and connected it to a laptop or desktop computer. The Datashow series was one of Kodak's flagship products in this space, developed through its Sayett Technology subsidiary. They were especially popular in corporate training rooms, university lecture halls, and conference settings where overhead projectors were already installed. Today these units are sought by vintage computing and AV collectors, as well as by users still running legacy overhead projector setups.
This Kodak Datashow 480 LCD Projection Pad powers on and shows signs of normal use and wear. Beyond confirming it powers up, the unit was not further tested, and it is being sold as-is with no warranty. Cosmetically the unit is in typical used condition consistent with its age. The padded carrying case, interface cable (CAT 823 4239), AC adapter, extension cord, and instruction manual are all included. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
