Applications
The Kensington K60106 is a desk-edge clamp mount arm designed to hold a flat-panel LCD monitor above or to the side of a work surface, freeing up desk space and allowing the screen to be positioned at an ergonomic height and angle. It attaches to the edge of a desk with a clamp-and-bolt mechanism — no drilling required. Paired with the Planar PE1700-BK, a 17" analog VGA LCD monitor from Planar Systems (Beaverton, OR), this combination is well suited for office workstations, POS (point-of-sale) terminals, industrial or kiosk installations, or any environment where a compact, adjustable-position display is needed. The PE1700-BK dates from the early-to-mid 2000s era of flat-panel LCD adoption and uses a standard analog VGA input compatible with virtually any desktop PC, thin client, or embedded system with a VGA output. Planar Systems was a well-regarded manufacturer of flat-panel displays for both commercial and industrial markets during this period.
This Kensington K60106 Flat Panel Desk Mount Arm and Planar PE1700-BK 17" LCD Monitor have been powered and tested at our facility using an in-house power supply and are in good working order. The monitor powers on and displays a full image — a color bar test pattern is shown in the photos. The screen has a small nick and a fine scratch on the bezel, visible in the close-up photos. There is also a single small pixel defect visible on the LCD panel, shown in the close-up screen image. The arm and clamp hardware appear to be in good mechanical condition with no significant damage. Note: no power supply is included with this listing.
