This is a Kanthal AB Superthal 2-inch tube furnace body — the complete cylindrical furnace shell and insulation assembly, sold without a heating element or temperature controller. The Superthal series is Kanthal's line of compact, high-temperature tube furnace modules designed to deliver concentrated, focused heat via a resistance wire spiral element. This unit is the housing and insulation assembly only; a replacement spiral heating element and a separate controller are both required before it can be put back into service.

The furnace shell, insulation rings, ceramic fiber end blankets, mounting arm, and thermocouple assembly are all present and appear intact. The ceramic insulation end ring shows a hairline crack visible in photos, consistent with age and prior use.
