Kaleidescape KServer-5000 3U Rackmount Movie Music Server Up to 24TB RAID
The Kaleidescape KServer-5000 is a 3U rackmount media storage server designed for dedicated home theater and commercial AV installations. It houses a multi-drive SATA bay array with RAID data protection and supports storage configurations from 8TB up to 24TB, accommodating large movie and music libraries for use with Kaleidescape players and control systems. Rear connectivity includes an AC-IN IEC inlet, RS-232 control port, Gigabit Ethernet, and USB ports.

Applications
The KServer-5000 is a legacy Kaleidescape platform used as the central media vault in high-end residential and commercial home theater systems. It stores ripped Blu-ray and DVD libraries for distribution to Kaleidescape players throughout a property and was widely deployed in custom AV installations with Crestron, Control4, and Savant automation systems. It is compatible with Kaleidescape M-Class players, Cinema One, and other legacy Kaleidescape player hardware. Parts recovery, chassis reuse, or HDD salvage are potential applications for this non-working unit.

This Kaleidescape KServer-5000 3U Rackmount Media Server is being sold as-is for parts or repair and does not power on. When plugged in, the unit emitted a pop sound and subsequently failed to power on — it has not functioned since. The front door hinge is broken, and there is a visible crack in the upper corner of the white front panel cover. Nine Seagate Constellation ES hard drives are present and appear to seat correctly in their SATA connectors, though some drive caddies are difficult to remove. The chassis and rear I/O panel (AC-IN, RS-232 Control port, Gigabit Ethernet, USB) are otherwise intact and undamaged cosmetically. This unit is sold strictly as-is with no functionality guarantee.
