Applications
The JVC BY-10U belongs to JVC's line of professional CCD video cameras produced during the 1980s, when single-chip CCD technology was displacing older tube-type camera designs in broadcast, ENG (electronic news gathering), and industrial video applications. Cameras in this class were used by television production crews, corporate video departments, and educational institutions that needed a compact, shoulder-mounted or tripod-mounted color video solution. The Tamron 10-100mm f/1.6 TV Zoom Lens included with this unit is a professional-grade C-mount or CS-mount compatible lens suited for the variable focal-length demands of field and studio production. Parts from cameras like the BY-10U are sought by collectors, vintage video enthusiasts, and technicians maintaining older broadcast or institutional video systems.
This JVC BY-10U Professional CCD Color Video Camera has not been tested or powered at our facility and is being sold strictly as-is for parts or repair value. The camera body shows typical wear consistent with professional use. The Tamron 10-100mm f/1.6 TV Zoom Lens and JVC VF-P10U viewfinder are included. No functionality is implied or guaranteed.
