Description

Ingersoll Rand TMS 0140 Refrigerated Compressed Air Dryer 140 SCFM 230V

The Ingersoll Rand TMS 0140 is a thermal mass cycling refrigerated compressed air dryer rated for 140 SCFM. It removes moisture from compressed air by cooling the air stream to a low dew point using a refrigeration circuit charged with R134a, causing water vapor to condense and drain away before the dry air continues downstream. The unit runs on 230V single-phase, 60 Hz power and sits on an integral skid-style steel base frame for floor-mounted installation.

Applications

Refrigerated compressed air dryers like the TMS 0140 are standard equipment in industrial compressed air systems wherever moisture in the air line would cause problems — corrosion in piping and equipment, contamination of pneumatic tools and processes, or interference with instrumentation and controls. The TMS series uses a thermal mass (cycling) design, which means the refrigeration compressor cycles on and off as demand changes, saving energy compared to non-cycling designs. At 140 SCFM capacity, this unit is sized for medium-duty industrial applications such as manufacturing plants, machine shops, paint booths, food and beverage processing lines, and general industrial facilities running rotary screw or reciprocating air compressors in the 25–50 HP range. Ingersoll Rand's TMS series was a widely deployed product line in North American industry during the 1990s and 2000s and replacement parts, refrigerant service, and rebuild support remain available through Ingersoll Rand's compressed air products network.

Condition: Used
This Ingersoll Rand TMS 0140 thermal mass cycling refrigerated air dryer was pulled from a working environment where it was previously in service. It has not been powered up or tested at our facility. The cabinet is in fair used condition — the cream sheet-metal housing shows general use wear, and the skid frame has visible surface rust, as shown in the photos. The air inlet and outlet pipe connections show some oxidation on the fittings. The front control panel, Jumo analog thermometer, rotary on/off switch, and green indicator are all present and intact. The Domnick Hunter ED2100 electronic condensate drain is mounted and appears complete. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
