Applications

The U160 SCSI storage supported reliable, hot-swappable drive configurations. This model is compatible with IBM eServer xSeries 360 (8686) configurations and standard U160 SCSI hot-swap backplanes.

This IBM xSeries 360 8686-1RX rackmount server is being sold AS-IS for parts or repair. It came from a local organization where it had been in active use, and is being offered due to its age rather than any single known failure. The unit has not been powered or tested at our facility and no functionality is guaranteed. The chassis shows cosmetic wear consistent with data-center use — scuffing on the top cover, some surface marks on the bezel and side panels. Three 36.4GB U160 SCSI hard drives (FRU 06P5759) are installed in bays 12–14. The interior shows memory DIMMs and expansion cards present; the drive backplane, PCI-X slots, and rear I/O panel appear physically intact.
