The IBM 08K9647 (FRU 08K9648) is a slim removable DVD-ROM drive designed for IBM ThinkPad laptops equipped with the UltraBay or UltraBay Slim bay. It connects via IBM's proprietary UltraBay ATA interface and slots directly into the laptop's modular bay without tools. The drive reads standard DVD and CD media and was manufactured in February 2003 (REV.102).
