Legacy IBM mainframe tape storage subsystem unit. This freestanding tower cabinet houses multiple circuit boards for tape drive control and data management in IBM System i, System p, and related enterprise environments.

This IBM 66X4109 B22 Tape Unit Drive is being sold AS-IS for parts or repair. Due to its age and legacy status, we are not able to guarantee functionality, and it has not been tested at our facility. The unit came from a local organization where it had previously been in service. The chassis houses multiple IBM board modules (QS90, 6310, 6130, 6031, 6020, 6021, 6003, and others) — all visible and present as shown in the photos. Externally, the top of the chassis shows significant dust accumulation and general surface grime consistent with years of storage. The front panel controls (Emergency, Thermal, Power/Ready switches) are intact and present.
