Applications
Used in IBM PS/2 8555SX, 8555-031, and 8555-061 systems to connect ESDI hard drives to the motherboard controller. ESDI was the standard interface for high-capacity hard drives in IBM PS/2 computers during the late 1980s and early 1990s. Replacement for legacy system restoration or repair.

This IBM 64F1409 PS/2 8555SX ESDI Hard Drive Cable has been inspected and appears to be in good condition. It was removed from an IBM PS/2 system some years ago and has since been in storage. The ribbon cable, strain relief block, and both edge connectors are intact with no visible damage. The cable shows minor surface aging consistent with its age and storage history, but the conductors and connector housings appear clean and undamaged.
