Applications

The HP 900 Series duplexer was designed for home and small office users who wanted to automatically print double-sided documents — saving paper and producing more professional-looking output — without manually flipping and reinserting pages. It was part of HP's late-1990s OfficeJet and DeskJet accessory ecosystem, where the rear panel of the printer accepted an optional duplexer module that the printer's driver software would then recognize and enable. These duplexers remain useful today for anyone still running a compatible HP 900 Series printer, since HP continued supporting this product family for many years and replacement or additional duplexer units are increasingly hard to find new.
