Applications

The DeskJet 660C series was one of HP's most successful mid-1990s home and small-office inkjet lines, offering color printing at a time when color output was still a notable differentiator for desktop printers. The 660Cse connected via a parallel port, which was the standard PC printer interface of the era, and was compatible with Windows 3.x, Windows 95, and DOS environments. Today these printers are sought after by vintage computing enthusiasts running period-correct PC setups — particularly those maintaining systems from the Windows 95 / DOS era — as well as collectors of 1990s HP hardware. A working parallel-port color printer is a rare find for anyone running a legacy IBM-compatible PC with no USB ports.
