Applications

The HP DeskJet 1120C was a wide-format desktop inkjet printer aimed at small offices and professionals who needed occasional A3/11x17 output without the cost of a dedicated wide-format device. Introduced in the late 1990s, it occupied a niche between standard letter-size inkjets and large-format plotters, making it useful for printing spreadsheets, CAD drawings, posters, and presentations on oversized media. It connected to PCs via a parallel port, which was the standard desktop printer interface of the era before USB became dominant. Units like this are now primarily sought for parts, repair projects, or as replacements for other DeskJet 1120C printers still in service.
