Applications

The HP DeskJet 310 was introduced in the mid-1990s as part of HP's line of battery-powered portable printers, targeted at mobile professionals, field sales representatives, and anyone needing printed output away from a desk or power outlet. It connected to laptops and notebooks of the era via the standard parallel port and could run on an optional rechargeable battery pack, making it genuinely useful for on-site reporting, invoicing, and documentation. The DeskJet 310 remains sought after today for legacy parallel-port laptop setups, as a working example of early portable inkjet technology, and by collectors of HP's portable computing accessories from the Windows 95/98 era.
