Applications
This tray type was used in office environments to increase paper capacity on LaserJet 4 series printers, reducing the frequency of tray reloads during high-volume printing. The LaserJet 4 line was widely deployed in corporate and institutional settings throughout the 1990s for departmental and workgroup printing. Legal-size capability made these trays suitable for firms handling contracts, documents, and other standard legal paperwork.
Condition: Used
This HP C2083B 500-Sheet Paper Tray for the LaserJet 4 and 4Plus has been inspected and appears to be complete, with paper guides and the feed mechanism present. The tray shows normal cosmetic wear consistent with prior office use — light scuffing on the exterior plastic — but no cracks or broken guides are visible. The electrical interface connector on the underside appears intact. It was not bench-tested as a standalone accessory, but it comes from a working office environment and shows no signs of damage that would prevent normal operation. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
