Applications

The HP LaserJet III was one of HP's most widely deployed office laser printers of the early 1990s, succeeding the LaserJet II with improved resolution, faster print speeds, and expanded font support via external font cartridges. It used HP's PCL 5 printer language and was a staple in corporate and government office environments throughout its production run. Today, these units are sought primarily for parts harvesting — fusers, rollers, trays, formatter boards, and optical assemblies — as well as by collectors and restorers of vintage HP hardware. A lot of this size is well suited to repair shops, surplus dealers, or organizations maintaining a fleet of legacy LaserJet III units.
