Applications

Vertical wire managers like the VWMDS4X5BK7 are standard infrastructure in structured-cabling installations, data centers, server rooms, and telecom central offices. They mount alongside equipment racks and open-frame relay racks to provide a dedicated, organized routing path for patch cords, fiber, and copper trunk cables. The dual-sided design accommodates high-density cabling environments where both sides of the vertical channel need to carry cables simultaneously — common in co-location facilities and enterprise switching closets. At 83 inches, this unit spans a full standard rack height, making it suitable for floor-to-ceiling cable runs. HellermannTyton vertical wire managers have been widely used in carrier-class and enterprise telecom deployments since the late 1990s and remain current infrastructure components in active use today.
