Applications
The AVM-100 is the type of equipment used in broadcast control rooms, post-production suites, cable head-ends, and institutional AV installations where operators need to route and monitor multiple composite video and audio sources from a single rack-mounted unit. A switcher/monitor of this design allows an operator to select any of the connected sources for visual and audio confidence monitoring without interrupting the output feed — a standard requirement in multi-camera production, tape dubbing rooms, and master control facilities. HEDCO produced rackmount AV routing and monitoring equipment primarily for the broadcast and cable TV industries from the 1980s onward, and units like the AVM-100 remain in use in legacy broadcast and institutional AV systems that have not yet migrated to digital routing infrastructure.
This HEDCO AVM-100 Audio Video Monitor Switcher has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition. The front panel shows light surface wear and minor scuffing consistent with rack use, and the selector buttons appear intact. The rear connector board shows typical aging on the PCB finish but all BNC and RCA connectors appear present and undamaged. The unit retains its attached power cable. It was pulled from a working environment where it was previously in use and has not been powered up or tested at our facility. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
