Description
Heath Heathkit SP-2717 Regulated HV Power Supply 0-400VDC 100mA Tube Amp Bench
The Heath SP-2717 is a benchtop regulated high-voltage DC power supply designed for vacuum tube amplifier development, tube radio servicing, and general high-voltage laboratory work. It provides a continuously variable 0–400 VDC output with built-in metering, plus low-voltage filament outputs to power tube heaters — making it a self-contained bench supply for most vacuum tube circuit work.

Applications
The Heathkit SP-2717 was designed for electronics hobbyists, technicians, and engineers working with vacuum tube (valve) circuits. During the 1960s and 1970s Heathkit sold this unit as a kit and in factory-assembled form, and it became a staple of home workshops and small service benches. The HV output range of 0–400V covers the plate voltage requirements of most common receiving tubes, while the 6.3V and 12.6V filament outputs eliminate the need for a separate filament transformer. Today these supplies are sought after by audio enthusiasts building or restoring tube amplifiers, vintage radio restorers, and electronics collectors who need a clean, metered HV bench source. The regulated output and built-in milliammeter make it particularly useful for biasing tubes, measuring quiescent current, and troubleshooting tube-based circuits.
This Heath Heathkit SP-2717 Regulated HV Power Supply has been visually inspected and appears to be in good used condition. The chassis, meters, knobs, binding posts, and front panel are all present and intact. The unit shows normal age-related wear consistent with vintage lab bench equipment — the white front panel face has some light surface wear, and the teal cabinet shows minor scuffs typical of older benchtop gear. The power cord is attached. It has not been powered up or tested at our facility, but it was pulled from a working environment where it was previously in use.
