Description

Guzik ANA-251 Analog Channel Read Write Controller HDD Tester No PSU

Benchtop analog channel read/write controller for hard disk drive testing. This module processes analog signals from HDD pre-amplifiers and generates read/write control signals for Guzik test systems.

Specifications & What's Included

  • Model: ANA-251 (U.S. Patent No. 4,829,545)
  • Power Rails: +15V, -15V, +5V, -5.2V (25-pin D-sub connector)
  • Interfaces: Pre-Amp (25-pin D-sub), R/W Control (25-pin D-sub), Drive R/W Data In (9-pin D-sub), RWA R/W Data Out (15-pin D-sub), Analog Data (BNC)
  • Power supply not included

Applications

The ANA-251 was used in Guzik hard drive test systems to interface with disk drive pre-amplifiers and manage analog read/write channel operations. This module integrates into complete HDD testing platforms that measure drive performance, signal integrity, and data recovery capabilities. It remains applicable to legacy Guzik test benches and refurbishment facilities working with older hard disk technology.

Condition: For Parts or Not Working
This Guzik ANA-251 Analog Channel Read/Write Controller is being sold AS-IS for parts or repair. Due to its age and the absence of its power supply, functionality has not been verified. The unit appears cosmetically clean overall, with no obvious physical damage visible in the photos. The connector panel shows four D-sub interface ports (PRE-AMP, R/W CONTROL, DRIVE R/W DATA IN, RWA R/W DATA OUT) and a BNC Analog Data connector, all appearing intact. Power supply is NOT included — external power is required via the 25-pin D-sub POWER IN connector. This unit is not guaranteed functional and is sold strictly for parts, repair, or as a donor unit. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
