This is a custom home-built variable bench power supply built around a 2-amp Variac (autotransformer), which allows continuously variable AC output voltage from 0 to approximately 300V AC. The AC output is also rectified via a 25-amp rectifier bridge to provide DC output, monitored on the front panel. The unit is housed in a solid black-painted steel enclosure with rubber feet.

  This homebrew variable bench power supply has been inspected and appears to be in good used condition for its age and custom-built nature. The black steel enclosure shows typical wear including light scuffs and scratches on the exterior surfaces. The front panel controls — ON pilot lamp, LINE toggle switch, and POWER rotary Variac knob — are all present and intact. Both analog panel meters (AC Volts and DC Amperes) are present and undamaged. The unit ships with the attached AC power cord and yellow NEMA 5-15P plug. Note that this unit was built without an internal fuse, as described by the seller.
