The Fujitsu M2444AC is a half-inch open-reel magnetic tape drive housed in a Wiltec free-standing cabinet with a Pertec interface. It supports selectable recording densities of 6250 BPI and 1600 BPI, selectable via the front-panel Density Select control, and was designed to connect to host systems through the standard Pertec parallel interface commonly used in mainframe and minicomputer data center environments.
