Applications
Socket 7 was Intel's last consumer CPU platform shared across multiple competing processor vendors, making it one of the most flexible desktop platforms of the mid-1990s. FIC (First International Computer) was a major Taiwanese OEM motherboard manufacturer that supplied boards to system integrators and the retail channel throughout the Pentium era. The PT-2003 is representative of that generation — a full-size AT-style board built around an Intel chipset, paired with ISA slots for legacy peripherals and PCI for contemporary graphics and I/O cards. These boards are sought today by vintage PC builders and retro-computing enthusiasts restoring period-correct mid-1990s systems, as well as collectors of Pentium-era hardware. The Socket 7 platform ran CPUs from roughly 75 MHz through 233 MHz (MMX) and was in widespread use from approximately 1994 through 1997.
This FIC PT-2003 Socket 7 Motherboard has been visually inspected and appears to be in good used condition. The board was pulled from a working environment where it was previously in service. It has not been powered up or tested at our facility. The PCB shows light surface discoloration typical of age on a mid-1990s board, but no visible cracks, burnt components, or broken traces are apparent in the photos. No CPU, RAM, or accessories are included — board only. Please review all photos and contact us with any questions before purchasing.
