Description
Fiber Optic Microscope Ring Light Illuminator Flex Cable 38in 28mm OD Stereo
This is an unbranded fiber optic ring light illuminator designed to attach to a stereo or inspection microscope objective and deliver uniform annular illumination from a remote light source. The assembly consists of a black anodized aluminum ring housing connected to a stainless steel armored flexible cable approximately 38 inches in overall length. The input end accepts light from a separate fiber optic illuminator; the ring distributes that light evenly around the subject under the microscope. No light source or power supply is included — a compatible fiber optic illuminator is required for operation.

Applications
Fiber optic ring light illuminators are standard accessories in stereo microscopy, inspection, and quality-control lab environments. By coupling to an external cold-light fiber optic source, the ring housing slips over the microscope objective and floods the work area with even, shadow-free annular light without introducing heat at the specimen — a key advantage over direct-bulb ring lights when working with heat-sensitive samples or delicate parts. These assemblies are commonly used in electronics inspection, PCB rework, jewelry and gemology, biological specimen examination, and industrial quality control. The stainless steel armored flex cable allows the input end to be routed to a bench-mounted light source while the ring remains positioned on the microscope, giving the operator flexibility in illuminator placement. The 28mm OD ring is sized to fit a wide range of stereo and inspection microscope objectives with standard collar diameters.
This unbranded fiber optic ring light illuminator has been tested and is in working order. The ring housing and stainless steel armored flex cable are intact and functional. The unit is missing its thumbscrews. The black anodized housing shows surface scuffs and light wear from prior lab use, as visible in the photos. No light source or power supply is included — a separate fiber optic illuminator is required for use. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
