This is an 8-port expansion module for the Extended Systems Sharespool XL print server system. The card connects via proprietary edge connector and adds parallel port connectivity for network printer sharing in legacy computing environments.

Applications

The ESI-3281 was used to expand Sharespool XL print server capacity in networked office environments from the 1990s through early 2000s. It provided parallel port connectivity for connecting multiple printers to a single print server, allowing workstations on the network to share printing resources. This module is compatible with Extended Systems Sharespool XL systems and requires the appropriate host chassis to function.
