Applications

The Epson Stylus Color 800 was introduced in the mid-1990s as part of Epson's Stylus Color line, which set the standard for affordable color inkjet printing in that era. It connects via the Centronics parallel port that was the dominant printer interface on PCs of the period — used with DOS and Windows 3.x/95/98 machines before USB became standard. This printer is sought today primarily for use with legacy PC setups, vintage computing environments, and systems that require a parallel-port-connected color inkjet. It is also collected by enthusiasts of 1990s personal computing hardware. Replacement ink cartridges (S020108 black, S020089 color) remain available through various third-party suppliers.
