Applications

The protective series resistance limited output current to prevent damage to sensitive equipment. Common in educational and industrial testing environments from the mid-20th century onward.

Condition: For Parts or Not Working
This Eppley Laboratory EPLAB Students' Cell DC reference battery is in visually good shape for its age. The black Bakelite case is intact with no cracks visible, and the embossed markings and yellow Protective Series Resistance label are clear and legible. Both binding posts (+ and –) are present and appear undamaged. Due to the age of this electrochemical cell, we cannot verify its output voltage or internal electrolyte condition, and it is being sold strictly AS-IS for parts, display, or collection. No functionality is guaranteed. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions. Please note: We have multiple units in stock — yours may not be the one shown in the photos, however, it will be similar in condition and function.
