This Emerson K55HXSAZ-8219 laminar down-flow hood is being sold as-is due to the condition of the HEPA filter, which will need to be replaced before the unit is put back into service. The motor and Vari-Speed solid state speed controller have been tested and perform well across the full speed range from low to high. Photos show the sheet metal housing with typical surface oxidation and scuffing consistent with age and storage. The HEPA filter media (HEPA Corporation, rated 1002 CFM) shows visible tears and deterioration and is not serviceable — replacement is required. The blower impeller and motor appear structurally intact. Due to size and weight, this item requires freight shipping to a trucking terminal or local pickup.
