Vintage RF tube-type induction heater manufactured by Eimac/Varian for industrial and laboratory heating applications. Benchtop unit mounted on rolling cart with vacuum tube oscillator technology.

Applications

This Eimac 2901 tube induction heater (Varian division) is being sold AS-IS, for parts or repair. Due to its age and unknown operational history, we are not able to make any functionality claims. The unit has not been tested. The enclosure and front panel show significant surface rust and corrosion throughout — this is clearly visible in the photos. The cart is included and is sturdy but also shows rust and wear consistent with age. The panel meters, indicator lamps, toggle switches, and all labeled controls are physically present. Also included are one Jennings Type JCS capacitor, two Electro Engineering Works Type 7959A transformers, and an Aerovox MFD 1445 series capacitor. Water-cooling hose fittings and a work coil are visible on the upper oscillator assembly. This is a vintage piece of equipment and should be considered a parts, restoration, or display item.
