The Edwards E2M-1 is a compact, two-stage direct drive rotary vane vacuum pump designed for high vacuum laboratory and industrial applications. Powered by an ASEA/Electrolux Elmotor rated at 160W, it operates on 110-120V AC at 50/60 Hz and is capable of reaching deep vacuum levels suitable for a wide range of scientific processes. A vacuum gauge is included and attached to the inlet port.

Applications
The Edwards E2M series of two-stage rotary vane pumps are widely used as roughing and backing pumps in laboratory vacuum systems, including freeze dryers, vacuum ovens, leak detectors, mass spectrometers, electron microscopes, and thin-film deposition systems. The two-stage design allows the E2M-1 to reach lower ultimate pressures than a single-stage pump of equivalent displacement, making it well suited for processes that require a deeper base vacuum. Edwards High Vacuum has been a leading supplier of vacuum pump technology since the mid-20th century, and the E2M series in particular became a standard bench pump in research labs and light industrial settings throughout the 1970s–1990s. These pumps remain in wide use today for maintenance, legacy system support, and general lab vacuum applications where a compact, direct-drive rotary vane pump is needed.
This Edwards E2M-1 Two-Stage Direct Drive Rotary Vane High Vacuum Pump has been tested at our facility and is in good working condition. The pump body and motor show normal wear for a used lab instrument — minor scuffing on the housing — but the unit is clean and functional. A vacuum gauge is included and attached to the inlet port.
