The EBM G2E140-AC05 is a single-inlet centrifugal squirrel cage blower built in an all-aluminum die-cast volute housing. It uses a forward-curved impeller wheel to move high volumes of air through ductwork or enclosed systems, discharging through a square outlet on the front of the volute. The motor is thermally protected and the unit comes with an attached power cord terminated in a NEMA L6-20P twist-lock plug.

Applications
The G2E140 series centrifugal blower from EBM (now ebm-papst) is a workhorse industrial air-moving unit used in electronics cooling, HVAC equipment, industrial control cabinets, and process air systems. Squirrel cage centrifugal blowers of this design are commonly installed in cooling ducts, enclosures, and forced-air convection systems where a high static pressure capability is needed — unlike axial fans, centrifugal blowers work effectively against resistance in ductwork. The G2E140-AC05 was produced by EBM in West Germany during the mid-1990s, before the company merged with Papst to form ebm-papst. Units like this are still found in service in industrial and scientific equipment, and the 220V/60Hz rating makes this unit directly compatible with North American single-phase 240V circuits using an appropriate twist-lock outlet. The NEMA L6-20P plug shown is the standard locking plug for 20A 240V single-phase circuits.

This EBM G2E140-AC05 squirrel cage centrifugal blower has been pulled from a working environment and visually inspected. The aluminum housing shows surface oxidation and light scuffing consistent with industrial use, as visible in the photos. The impeller appears complete and undamaged, and the unit comes with its attached power cord and NEMA L6-20P twist-lock plug. It has not been powered up or tested at our facility.
