Description
DTK PII-108 RS-232 Serial Card 8-Bit ISA DB-25 DIP IRQ UART COM1 COM2 Rev-4
The DTK PII-108 is an 8-bit ISA RS-232 serial card that adds a DB-25 serial COM port to a desktop PC equipped with an ISA bus slot. The card uses DIP switches to configure the COM port assignment (COM1 or COM2), IRQ line, and I/O base address, making it flexible for use in a wide range of PC configurations. This is a Rev-4 board manufactured by DTK in Taiwan.

Applications
8-bit ISA serial cards like the DTK PII-108 were standard expansion cards for IBM PC/XT and compatible systems from the mid-1980s through the early 1990s. They allowed systems with no built-in serial port, or with only one, to add an additional RS-232 COM port for connecting peripherals such as modems, mice, plotters, terminals, label printers, and other serial devices. The DB-25 connector was the original RS-232 form factor used on PCs before the smaller DB-9 became dominant in the late 1980s. Today these cards remain useful for maintaining, restoring, or running vintage PC/XT and early AT-class systems that require an additional serial port — particularly in industrial and embedded applications where legacy 8-bit ISA hardware is still in service. The DIP-switch-based configuration is typical of the era, predating the plug-and-play systems that arrived with PCI and later ISA revisions.
This DTK PII-108 RS-232 8-bit ISA serial card has been inspected and is in good used condition. The PCB is clean with no visible cracks, burnt components, or broken traces. The DB-25 bracket connector and ISA edge connector both look clean and undamaged. The DIP switches are all intact and appear to be in their original positions. There is light handling wear consistent with a card that was previously installed. Please view our photo set and contact us if you have any questions.
