This is a DTK V6 multi-function ISA expansion card designed for IBM PC/XT and PC/AT compatible systems. It combines a Hercules-compatible monochrome graphics adapter with a parallel printer port on a single full-length ISA 8-bit card, reducing the number of slots needed in a period-correct PC build. The card carries the IMP04036 main controller IC and a complement of 74LS-series TTL logic chips.

Applications

Building a period-correct DOS machine typically meant filling several ISA slots with separate cards for graphics, a printer port, a serial port, and a game port. Combo cards like this one consolidated two or more of those functions onto a single board, saving valuable expansion slots in the chassis — a real advantage in the cramped 8-slot PC/XT. The Hercules monochrome graphics standard was dominant in business computing throughout the mid-1980s before CGA and EGA color displays became affordable, and many DOS productivity applications of that era were designed with Hercules MDA output in mind. Today these cards are sought by vintage PC collectors and hobbyists restoring 8088- and 8086-based IBM PC/XT or PC/AT machines to working order, or building era-authentic systems from scratch.
This DTK PC/XT PC/AT Mono Graphics & Printer ISA Add-On Card (V6) is in good used condition. The card shows no significant wear — the PCB is clean, the gold ISA edge connector fingers look good, and the bracket connectors (DB-25 and DB-15) appear undamaged. It comes with its original box and foam padding, which is a nice bonus for a card of this vintage. It has not been powered up or tested at our facility, but it came out of a stored/collected environment and presents very cleanly.
