Applications

Split taper sheaves are a standard component in industrial V-belt power transmission systems, used to transmit rotational motion between shafts driven by electric motors, fans, blowers, pumps, compressors, and conveyor systems. The BK series covers light-duty single-groove applications where a B-section belt is appropriate. The H-series split taper bushing system — developed and popularized by Dodge — clamps concentrically onto the shaft as the bushing screws are tightened, eliminating the need for a press fit and making field alignment and shaft removal much simpler than a conventional keyed hub.
