Applications
The DirecTV R10 was part of DirecTV's lineup of TiVo-integrated satellite receivers, introduced in the mid-2000s as DirecTV's standard DVR offering. TiVo integration allowed users to record programs based on season passes, suggestions, and wish lists, all managed through TiVo's well-known interface. The R10 supported dual satellite inputs for single-dish installations with LNB switching, making it compatible with DirecTV's 18-inch and 18x20-inch oval dish systems. It was a popular receiver among DirecTV subscribers seeking integrated DVR functionality before DirecTV transitioned to its own proprietary DVR platform and eventually phased out TiVo-based receivers. Today these units are sought by collectors, TiVo enthusiasts, and those maintaining legacy DirecTV installations or using the hardware for parts.
