Applications
The DEC RA90 and RA92 were high-capacity Winchester disk drives produced by Digital Equipment Corporation in the late 1980s and early 1990s for use in VAX and other DEC minicomputer systems. These large-format drives — each roughly the size of a small washing machine — required dedicated forced-air cooling to maintain safe operating temperatures. The blower/bezel assembly mounts on the drive enclosure and draws or exhausts air across the drive mechanism.
